There are many types of boats on the market… center consoles, skiffs, cabin cruisers, etc. Many of them are suited for specific purposes, such as in-shore fishing, off-shore fishing, overnight cruising, transport, etc. For leisurely day cruising, it’s hard to beat pontoon boats. An even better choice are the tri-toon boats, which Island Ferry uses exclusively for our all of our boat tours.
Boat Tours with More Space For Relaxation
Because pontoon boats offer more ample space for relaxation, picnics, and even water sports, Island Ferry uses these boats exclusively. With their wide decks and an RV feel, we can more comfortably accommodate small groups and families. Kids also have more room to play and move around. The high railings provide an enhanced measure of safety for kids and elderly while watching dolphins on the water. Pontoon boats also have multiple entry points, which make it easier for our guests to board.

Dolphin and Manatee Watching
Pontoon boats also offer a flatter and more stable ride, especially the tri-toons we use at Island Ferry for our dolphin tours and sunset cruises. These boats are also ideally designed for wildlife viewing, especially since much of it takes place on shallow waters. We are often following dolphins into waters as little as 18 inches or so.
Of course, our boats are fitted with all required safety gear, and our captains all carry a Masters credential issued by the US Coast Guard. So, you are in safe and capable hands with us.
